City as a Stage
The temporary open-space design works with what—and who—is already there. It draws not only from the temporal and symbolic layers of the site, but also activates, in a tangible way, the actors, materials, and elements present on site. Transformations across the different layers take place in situ, carried out by a range of participants. The new elements and materials are composed of renewable or reused resources. Construction, maintenance, use, and care are collectively undertaken by a diverse group of actors.
